Hey there! I'm Tra Watson, pursuing a career in art/animation. Having been interested in art at a young age, I was inspired by all sorts of TV shows and video games. As a child I was encouraged to play sports, which helped me further my appreciation of human movement. I never took art too seriously until about senior year when a SCAD recruiter came to my high school and presented different career opportunities in art. I felt I had always known I wanted to make action cartoons, but then is when I realized there was actually a career for it. Action cartoons are a main core of inspiration for me. Growing up, I binged on shows like Dragonball, Naruto, Power Rangers, Avatar the Last Air bender, Boondocks just to name a few. Content like this really inspired me to pick up a pencil and create. I also grew up with a heavy interest in martial arts. Incorporating many of the ideas wherever possible, in art, in movies, in books and the life I live everyday.

Martial arts, philosophy of the spiritual mind, and the natural ways of the universe continues to guide my journey in the visual arts and self cultivation. It is these other-worldly concepts that empower me and provide me with continuous inspiration. I can not say enough about how these themes move me.
